Monkey Mountain

Monkey Mountain sits above the horizon as one of the most impressive features in the area. The summit of the mountain offers spectacular views from San Pancho to Punta de Mita and the Bay of Banderas. Monkey Mountain has long been considered a sacred space for locals. 

The tour leads hikers through a dense canopy forest offering several stops along the way to admire birds, plants and a fresh mountain spring. The hike gradually climbs to an elevation of nearly 1200ft as you reach the summit. Once a top the mountain, take time to relax and enjoy the breath taking views as you feel at peace among the birds that circle the peak.

Alta Vista

Alta Vista is one of the most sacred places in the region. Alta Vista was home to the Tecoxquin native people from 2000- 2300BC who left behind carvings in the rocks (petroglyphs) that are known to be offerings to the gods. Alta Vista was and still serves as a sacred place for native cultures to perform ceremonies and communicate to the gods. 

This hike will lead you along the Pilates river, on the slopes of the Copo volcano, were you will see ancient petroglyphs left behind. The trail is largely covered with dense canopy forest that provides home to many local plants and animals. The hike will end at an area of sacred pools filled with fresh mountain water. You can take this time to swim, explore or just relax and immerse yourself in the sacred energy Alta Vista has to offer.

MUD BEACH

Mud Beach is a local "best kept secret". Join your guide on a short, easy hike through a dense canopy forest and arrive at a secluded beach. Often the only one's there, you can take time to relax, swim and lie on the beach. Don't forget to ask your guide about the mud! Located where a spring meets the side of the mountain you will find medicinal blue mud. Locals believe this mud to have heeling properties, good for the skin, body and soul. Spend the afternoon being rejuvenated by the mud, peace and quiet.
